Top DFS Picks and Fantasy Pick’em Plays for Week 9
Jordan Travis: It feels like Florida State is just flying under the radar a little bit despite being 7-0 on the season. They played a flawless 4th quarter last week to pull out a quality home win over Duke. Jordan Travis had one of his best all-around games of the season, throwing for 268 yards while adding 62 on the ground. He had 3 total touchdowns…yet he still isn’t talked about as one of the better quarterbacks in the FBS. Travis makes for a great high-upside GPP play in a game where Florida State should have no trouble moving the football. As long as it stays reasonably close, expect another big game from Travis and company.
RJ Harvey: West Virginia used to be a team that would slow down the tempo and play lower-scoring games, but we have seen some sneaky shootouts with them this season. Given this fact, it is no surprise that UCF is projected for over 30 points against them. Harvey is coming off back-to-back 100+ yard performances, including one very impressive game as UCF nearly pulled off an upset against Oklahoma. I will look to get a lot of UCF exposure this week, both via the passing game and with Harvey.
Jeremiah Hunter:USC may have elite talent offensively, but they are really struggling on the defensive side of the football. They have given up 82 points over the past two games, and they are giving up chunk plays both on the ground and through the air. Cal is likely going to be playing from behind in this game, and that should give Hunter plenty of opportunities for high-upside targets. He is coming off a down game but had previously caught a touchdown in three straight contests. He is one of the best points-per-dollar DFS wide receiver plays this weekend.
