The Indianapolis Colts turned the page this week. The playoff aspirations in Indianapolis lie in the hands of Joe Flacco. Flacco’s first mission as the permanent starter? A tough Minnesota defense on the road. The Vikings look to get back on track after a couple of losses ended their undefeated streak. Let’s review injuries, statistics, and betting odds for the primetime contest.

Check out our Same Game Parlay Guide before we break down tonight’s game and build a same game parlay for Sunday Night Football.

Colts vs. Vikings Same Game Parlay Preview

DraftKings Sportsbook posts Vikings as 5-point home favorites. ScoresAndOdds reports an overwhelming majority of betting action landed on the Vikings throughout the week, but the line moved toward the Colts. Are sports betting sites concerned about Joe Flacco?

The implied game total sits at 46.5 points with most of the action falling on the under. The Vikings’ defense — led by Brian Flores — is ferocious. The Vikings funnel teams to throw the football and make them pay for mistakes. With only 3.9 yards per rush attempt on defense thus far, Jonathan Taylor is in for some tough sledding on Sunday night.

For the Colts, the big news was the switch to Joe Flacco. Flacco will have both Josh Downs and Michael Pittman but will be without his left tackle. Bernhard Raimann is out with a concussion. Flacco will need to get the ball out quickly, as the Vikings possess a 7.67% sack rate. Minnesota will look to pressure Joe Flacco throughout the game and prevent the deep pass.

The only leak in the Vikings’ defense might be offense through the wide receiver position. The Vikings allowed the 2nd-most receptions to the wide receiver position and the 3rd-most yards. The Colts will need to take downfield shots to their play makers to loosen up a vicious front.

The Vikings will return T.J. Hockenson to the 7th-ranked scoring offense in the NFL. The Colts defense also gets beaten down the field — allowing 7.1 yards per pass attempt. Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson could break free at home with the Colts struggling to mark up all of Darnold’s options. On the bad side of the news, the Vikings lost LT Christian Darrisaw to a season-ending knee injury. Both teams will look to piece together a plan for their quarterback’s blind side.

In a dome on Sunday night, points could be plentiful. Let’s take a look through DraftKings’ prop offerings and build a same game parlay for tonight’s action.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Colts vs. Vikings

Justin Jefferson Over 6.5 Receptions

Let’s not mess around. The Colts give up a lot down the field. Let’s focus our parlay on the best receiver in the NFL.

Justin Jefferson should be given plenty of opportunities to get down the field or get open. His yardage prop is also tempting, but Jefferson’s target volume is so consistent that 7 catches feels pretty strong for Sunday night. With T.J. Hockenson adding another layer to an already dynamic offense, the Colts can’t possibly focus 100% of their attention on Jefferson. We take the over.

Josh Downs Over 5.5 Receptions

Let’s go back and forth on Sunday night. Joe Flacco continues to fade Father Time, as he keeps bringing offenses back to life when all hope was lost. The Colts are a playoff contender with Flacco at quarterback. If the Colts switched to Flacco earlier, they might be in a better position.

The Vikings give up the 2nd-most receptions to the wide receiver position. Downs will be targeted consistently.

Jonathan Taylor Under 72.5 Receiving Yards

With my shootout script, I am going to trust the Vikings’ rushing defense. Jonathan Taylor has a host of 100-yard games this season. I am counting on the Vikings to shut the running game down and stick to their typical approach.

Taylor is always capable of breaking off a huge run. This is a very, very scary sweat. However, if the Vikings are throwing the ball down the field, the Colts won’t be able to give Taylor 20 carries.

I am banking on the Colts having to throw to catch up. Let’s hope Taylor receives less work.
