Happy Thursday, Grinders! I’m in for Cheese today so that he can have a breather — and he picked a good day to take a break. Today’s slate is markedly unexciting from a DFS perspective. There are just two early games on the docket, so we will focus this article on the ten game evening slate. Let’s try to unpack some goodness out of an underwhelming night.
A Black Hole of Pitching – “Wanna Be” Aces?
There are a lot of solid pitchers on tonight’s slate. The problem is that almost all of them feel like they are too expensive. There’s no Max Scherzer. There’s no Gerrit Cole. There’s no Chris Sale. There’s no Justin Verlander. We don’t have an elite MLB arm taking the mound. What we have is a cluster of low-end #1 / high-end #2 starters that generally carry premium price tags. That makes things difficult when it comes to building DFS lineups.
