Daily Fantasy MLB: Tuesday Start 'Em or Sit 'Em
We have less than two months of regular season baseball left in the season, so now is the time to start your winning streak and end the baseball season with a bang. The guys in the Start ‘Em section should be able to help you get off on the right foot and start your winning streak. Just make sure to stay away from the guys in the Sit ‘Em section, as they are placed there for a reason.
START ‘EM:

Jose Bautista – 3B – Even though Rich Harden has been able to string together four straight impressive starts, he is still a shell of his former self and has struggled on the road all season with an ERA of 6.19. Meanwhile, Bautista hits .338 at home with 16 HR’s. Bautista should put up some big numbers.
Hideki Matsui – DH – Matsui has been on an incredible tear over the last month and it doesn’t seem to matter who he is facing. Not only is Matsui swinging a hot bat, but he faces lefty Brett Cecil whom he has had great success against. In his career he is 5/8, 1 2B, 2 HR’s, and 6 RBI’s. Those numbers are hard to ignore.
Dustin Pedroia – 2B – Whenever you see that Pedroia faces a lefty, it should automatically trigger in your mind that he is a good play that day. Pedroia is hitting an insane .424 against lefties and faces a struggling one in Liriano. It doesn’t hurt that Pedroia is batting .600 in his career against Liriano either.
Troy Tulowitzki – SS – Everyone loves the D-Train. He is a great story and has a great nickname, how could you not cheer for the guy? As much as I want him to do well, I think Tulo will get the best of him. Tulo bats .345 against lefties and has 10 hits in his last four games.
Michael Morse – 1B – Morse gets to face Rodrigo Lopez who has been very inconsistent this year. Morse should be able to put together a very nice night.
Madison Bumgarner – P – If you take away his terrible one inning start against the Twins in which he gave up 9 earned runs, Bumgarner has been the most consistent pitcher of the Giants great pitching staff. Bumgarner doesn’t have great statistics at home but faces a Pirates team that is just reeling. Current pirates are only 6/36 against Bumgarner with 8 strike outs. I always like a pitcher’s chances when he has more K’s than hits.
Alexi Ogando – P – Alexiiiii! It’s just fun to say this guy’s name. He is also a very good pitcher, especially at home. Add to that the fact that he gets to face the Seattle Mariners and Ogando is a must play for tonight. Ogando has a 2.69 ERA at home this season and has an ERA of 0.75 in two games against the Mariners this season. Start him and thank me later.
SIT ‘EM:

Delmon Young – OF – Young has not been able to find any kind of success against Erik Bedard. In his career he is 2/20 with 8 strike outs. It doesn’t matter how cheap he is, stay away from him tonight.
Lance Berkman – OF – Berkman is only 1/8 in his career against Marcum. I think that Berkman offers good value in a lot of games, just not tonight. If you are thinking about taking a Cardinal, try Pujols or Holliday.
Matt Kemp – OF – As a general rule of thumb, you should always stay away from anyone facing Cliff Lee. But especially so when the guy only has one hit against him and has 3 strike outs.
Hunter Pence – OF – If you were to just look at the matchup you would think that Pence has a good chance of having a big game against Ted Lilly. But if history repeats itself, that won’t be the case. Pence is only 7/38 in his career against Lilly with 10 K’s.
Dan Haren – P – Haren has some great stuff but I think that the Yankees are going to be steaming after losing that series to the Red Sox. I think they are going to come out tonight with something to prove ang light Haren up. I’m staying far away from Haren.
Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone. Make sure to get a couple of these guys on your squad and you can thank me later.
