Finding Paydirt: Week 6 Results
Following a Week 5 slate which saw 59 total touchdowns scored by our three positions of interest, Week 6 brought a mere 39 touchdowns to the table. Woof! Considering six of those touchdowns were scored by players exempt from our player pool, our contestants only had 33 touchdowns at their disposal to move up the leaderboard. Did anyone pick Stefon Diggs? Did anyone find any touchdowns? Here comes a new leaderboard and recap followed by a few takeaways from this week in the NFL.

Prepare yourselves for a victory lap… Ready? Engage. Yours truly set the tone in Week 6 with three touchdowns. Copper2121 rode my coattails — literally — to three touchdowns but neither of us took Stefon Diggs. If you thought Diggs would score three touchdowns, I hope you entered that lineup into a large GPP contest as Diggs was a must to win any considerable money. I grabbed one of the Minnesota touchdowns from Adam Thielen but had to settle for one apiece from Ingram and Hooper. Jokes aside, Copper’s performance boosted him atop this month’s leaderboard while bdub02 remains atop the seasonal leaderboard.
The leaderboard is getting clustered so every week will go a long way in deciding winners. The time has come for some takeaways.
Week 6 Takeaways
This is not football related but has there ever existed a dorkier wrestler in WWE than Seth Rollins? Is the WWE attempting to push fans over to the newer, rival promotion in AEW? The most buzzed-about gimmick the WWE featured in what feels like a decade has been reduced to a dorky horror villain. Disgusting.
Back to football. Did Booger McFarland finally have a so-so week? Probably not. He is so repetitive and only offers obvious takes. That said, his evisceration of the officials at the end of the Lions game went a long way in establishing some credibility. The calls were so bad. Booger did not give a free pass.
The Cowboys suck… I don’t see any way around this anymore. The fact that Jason Garrett still has a job continues to puzzle me. Again, as the Cowboys were down multiple scores against a reinvigorated Jets team on Sunday, Garrett still seemed content to establish the run and make sure the high-priced Ezekiel Elliott was fed. Even with as dopey as Jerry Jones appears to be, how can he still employ Garrett?
Are the 49ers for real or are the Rams fraudulent? The Rams can’t possibly be struggling so much because Todd Gurley is no longer dynamic… can they? Also, the 49ers defense seems pretty good as their offensive cast lacks stars. The NFC West is becoming more exciting by the week and should be interesting down the stretch.
