Drew1up did his best to make a run at winning a RotoGrinders T-shirt with four touchdowns. Unfortunately for him, he came up just short of 1010mg and Copper2121 who both compiled 11 touchdowns for the month. As for a check-in on the standings, 1010mg broke the twenty-touchdown barrier and sits atop the overall leaderboard with 20 total touchdowns. Just behind, this month’s runner-up, Drew1up owns 19 touchdowns while yours truly sits in third with 17 scores. Remember, the RotoGrinders member that sits atop the overall leaderboard after the final week of the season will be award three months of free combo-premium content. Week 8 Takeaways
As I am finishing this up, the Jets are reviewing offers for Le’Veon Bell. I went from being excited to see the growth of Sam Darnold and hopeful about a new coaching regime to despondent after the mononucleosis crisis to embarrassed while my quarterback is seeing ghosts. Will Sam Darnold end up panning out? Did the Jets ruin another player? This is just, well, this is all just so Jetsy.
The NFL officiating is just getting worse by the week. Sometimes, I wonder if the officiating has always been this bad and we just did not know. With all of the enhancements in technology over the years, perhaps the referees are not equipped to outperform the 1,000 angles we have access to on a weekly basis. That said, stop blowing turnovers dead!
How popular will Ryan Fitzpatrick be at $4,800 on DraftKings? Fitzpatrick is a turnover waiting to happen. Yes. Yet, this could just be the week where an unleashed Fitzpatrick could drop score after score on the lowly Jets. At such a cheap price, will he be a necessity?
Ryan Finley. Brandon Allen. Kyle Allen. Jacoby Brisset. Ryan Tannehill. Matt Moore. These quarterbacks will be starting for teams in 2019. What the hell?
