Roy Halladay-ly Value Lineup

roy halladay

It’s been a long while since my last Roy Halladay-ly lineup, and I don’t know why I’ve waited. Last time I wrote a piece featuring Halladay, the lineup took the high score on FanDuel for the day and I had my most profitable MLB day ever. Facing the Mets today, he could be poised for another monster performance. Whenever I role with Halladay, or pay for Pitching in general, I start by selecting my top value pick at each MLB spot by looking at value plays vs. poor pitchers. Then, I proceed to upgrade from there. I think that if you have the time, forcing yourself to do this will prevent you from missing too much value on the day. Finding the elite picks in MLB is always easier than finding the best value picks, so there’s only up to go from there. Today I’m playing on FSL, and with a little help from the RotoGrinders Daily Research Console on the home page and the standard research stops, here is my initial lineup for the FSL 475 point cap as I target cheap players facing poor pitchers to squeeze into the Halladay dominated Cap:

My Top 5 Pitchers to target today: Chris Tillman vs. CHW, Alex White vs. DET, Jake Westbrook vs. ATL, Sean O’Sullivan vs. MIN, and John Lackey vs. SEA.

FSL 475 Point Cap – 25 Man Field

Pos. Name Rank
P Roy Halladay 220 pts
C Miguel Olivo 10 pts
1B Justin Smoak 31 pts
2B Dan Uggla 25 pts
3B Chone Figgins 22 pts
SS Hanley Ramirez 25 pts
LF Juan Rivera 17 pts
CF Brett Gardner 14 pts
RF Michael Cuddyer 21 pts
Cap 475 pts
Spent 385 pts
Remaining 90 pt

This is a lineup to consider in the lower caps on FSL today, and could hold it’s own in the 475 $1 it’s entered into :) I feel like leaving it in to with the 90 cap out of the way just to see if it can pull of the win, but I’ll likely upgrade some spots (namely Rivera and Cuddyer). Good luck and enjoy your Saturday!
