NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, April 16, 2024

Anthony Davis Over/Under 12.5 Rebounds

Following the All-Star Break, Davis averaged 13.8 rebounds and 21 rebound chances per game across a span of 23 games. During that stretch, only Domantas Sabonis, Rudy Gobert, and Jusuf Nurkic averaged more opportunities on the glass than Davis.

Tonight, Davis gets a semi-favorable matchup against the Pelicans, a team that ranked 19th in rebound percentage in 27 games after the All-Star Break. In that time, New Orleans had multiple games in which they allowed significant rebounding performances to opposing centers, including 19 rebounds to Nurkic, 17 rebounds to Day’Ron Sharpe, 14 rebounds to Clint Capela, and 13 rebounds to Nikola Vucevic.

This season, Davis has recorded at least 13 rebounds in 31 of 49 games in which he’s played 35+ minutes, including 16 of 25 road contests. In games in which he’s played 37+ minutes, he’s secured at least 13 rebounds in 24 of 35 games, including 13 of 17 road contests. He should have every opportunity to get the job done here.

Anthony Davis Over/Under 2.5 Assists

Davis averaged 3.4 assists on 4.9 potential assists per game in February, 3.2 assists on 4.7 potential assists per game in March, and 2.8 assists on 3.8 potential assists per game in a small sample size to begin April to end the regular season.

Overall this season, Davis recorded 3+ assists in 50 of 76 games, including 19 of 35 road games. In 49 games in which he played at least 35 minutes, Davis had 3+ assists 33 times, including in 14 of 25 road contests.

In April alone, the Pelicans allowed 3+ assists to Victor Wembanyama, Jusuf Nurkic, Domantas Sabonis, Wendell Carter Jr., Anthony Davis, and Zach Collins. Power forwards also had a lot of success operating as facilitators against New Orleans during the stretch-run of the regular season.

Davis has a great chance to get the job done in this spot for us.

Rui Hachimura Over/Under 12.5 Points

In 26 games after the All-Star Break, Hachimura averaged 16.2 points on 11.7 field goal attempts per game. Even with Anthony Davis in the lineup, Hachimura had a lot of success down the stretch, scoring 13+ points in 20 of his 27 final games with Davis active, including 12 of 15 games to end the regular season.

Hachimura has been a strong contributor on the road as well, with at least 13 points in 9 of his final 10 road games alongside Davis. Unlike many role players who struggle on the road, Hachimura actually averaged more points per game and was more efficient with his opportunities on the road than he was at home during the regular season.

New Orleans finished 6th in defensive rating across their final 27 regular season games, but they have not been particularly good at defending opposing forwards of late. Hachimura could find some success in this matchup.
