Lions vs. 49ers – NFL Player Props

George Kittle OVER 23.5 Yards Longest Reception (-113, FanDuel)

Detroit’s linebacker corps is decimated by injuries, which has made them vulnerable to opposing tight ends in recent weeks. Since LB Malcolm Rodriguez last played in Week 13, they have allowed 41 receiving yards to Tucker Kraft, 53 receiving yards to Dalton Kincaid, and 42 receiving yards to Dawson Knox. Each of those 3 tight ends had at least 1 reception going for 21+ yards. George Kittle enters play with at least 1 reception of 29+ yards in 10 of 13 games in 2024. He should have multiple chances for an explosive play in this matchup.

Jahmyr Gibbs UNDER 3.5 Receptions (+115, Bet365)

San Francisco has been one of the best defenses in the NFL this season when it comes to limiting damage done by opposing running backs as pass catchers. Entering play, they rank 8th in DVOA against the position and haven’t allowed 4 receptions to a single running back since Rico Dowdle all the way back in October. Gibbs has cleared this market number in each of his last 3 games, but he had gone under 4 receptions in his prior 6 contests. On a night that Detroit could ask Gibbs for a lot of work between the tackles on the ground, we could see his involvement as a receiver be somewhat limited in a tougher matchup.

Deebo Samuel OVER 47.5 Receiving Yards (-110, Bet365)

Deebo Samuel has been mostly underwhelming in 2024, but he has 16 targets across his last 2 games and was 2nd on the team with 3 first-read targets last weekend. Detroit has been extremely vulnerable in the slot this season and will be without one of their top outside cornerbacks tonight as well, with CB Carlton Davis being placed on injured reserve. Samuel should have opportunities to get the job done. This is a low number if he sees another 7+ targets.
