Chiefs vs. Ravens NFL Player Props – AFC Championship Game
- Jared Goff UNDER 257.5 Passing Yards
- David Montgomery UNDER 43.5 Rushing Yards
- Sam LaPorta UNDER 5.5 Receptions
Jared Goff UNDER 257.5 Passing Yards (-110), bet365
Jared Goff has blown past this number in back-to-back games to begin the postseason, but there is a good chance that his run of impressive performances comes to an end in the NFC Championship Game. During the regular season, the 49ers ranked 4th in defensive DVOA against the pass, compared to the Buccaneers, which ranked 14th, and the Rams, which ranked 21st. Goff has struggled on the road against strong pass defenses this year, throwing a pair of interceptions against the Cowboys and scoring only 6 points against the Ravens back in October. Playing without Jonah Jackson on Sunday against San Francisco only makes his path to a strong day even more difficult.
David Montgomery UNDER 43.5 Rushing Yards (-110), bet365
David Montgomery was a nice success story to follow early in the season, but he has come crashing back down to earth in recent weeks against better competition. Montgomery has averaged 4.1 yards per carry or fewer in 2 of his last 3 games, with the lone exception coming against the Rams. Montgomery had only 33 yards on 10 carries last weekend in a positive game script against the Buccaneers. Facing the 49ers as 7-point underdogs, a negative game script is not going to do Montgomery any favors. The under has value here.
Sam LaPorta UNDER 5.5 Receptions (-144), FanDuel
Sam LaPorta had 9 receptions on 11 targets last weekend against the Buccaneers, but he gets a much tougher matchup in the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers, which ranked 4th in DVOA against opposing tight ends this year. In 19 games this season, LaPorta has only 6 games with more than 5 receptions. Only 1 of those 6 games came against a team that ranked inside the top-10 in DVOA against tight ends during the regular season. LaPorta is likely still playing through some pain or discomfort after getting injured in Week 18, which only further complicates matters for him on Sunday against San Francisco. The juice is likely to be worth the squeeze in this spot.
