Dolphins vs. Bills – NFL Wild Card Player Props

Skylar Thompson u190.5 passing yards (-120)

In October, Skylar Thompson threw for 166 passing yards against the New York Jets while filling in for Tua Tagovailoa. In two games as the starter to end the regular season, Thompson threw for 104 passing yards against the New England Patriots, and 152 passing yards against the Jets in a rematch. On Sunday, he will likely be given more leash in a win-or-go-home scenario, but it is nonetheless doubtful that he will be able to reach 200 passing yards against a dominant Buffalo Bills defense. Take the under here, betting on the least talented starting quarterback in the postseason to struggle in his playoff debut.

Josh Allen u261.5 passing yards (-125)

Across the final two months of the regular season, Josh Allen only eclipsed this market number once – in a shootout on December 17. Entering play on Sunday, Allen has fallen short of this number in eight of his last 10 games. Following a loss in early November to the Jets, the Bills committed to a more balanced approach on the ground – which has resulted in far less volume for Allen compared to the early portion of the campaign. In a game that could get out of hand early, expect Buffalo to lean on the ground game, resulting in Allen cashing the under on his passing yards.

Tyreek Hill o4.5 receptions (-160)

Earlier this week, Hill commented to the media: “This one right here will mean a lot more to me because I’ve never been an underdog. In Kansas City, I was blessed to be on a real good football team. Here, it’s different. I feel like right now I’ve got a chip on my shoulder and so do the rest of the guys.”

Tyreek Hill has struggled this season with Skylar Thompson under center, but the market has overcorrected in this spot. In the season finale, Hill battled through an injury, but still received five targets against one of the league’s most formidable pass defenses. The week prior, Hill caught four passes on seven targets against the New England Patriots. Thompson will need to throw the ball if Miami has any hope of keeping pace with a high-powered Buffalo offense in the wild-card round. Expect head coach Mike McDaniel to scheme-open Hill near the line of scrimmage multiple times, which will help him get to the over in this spot.
