While matchups are a major factor in daily fantasy baseball, there are plenty of other factors to consider such as injuries, weather, and salaries. Las Vegas
- OU 8
- Favored TAM -150
Pitchers
- Home Roberto Hernandez takes the mound as the favorite in this game. He gets enough Ks to consider, and SDG is a poor hitting team. In Play
- Away Eric Stults does not get enough Ks to consider and is a huge dog in this one. TAM has been hot as of late. Avoid
Batters
- Home The splits are in favor today for Be Zobrist and Evan Longoria. Both have been very hot.
- Away SDG offence has been so poor it is hard to suggest anyone outside of a very hot Will Venebel

Las Vegas
- OU 7.5
- Favored KAN -125
Pitchers
- Home I have always kind of liked Ervin Santana for no particular reason. He is the favorite today and the OU is pretty low considering his opponent. He has been hot on the year especially at home where he is a 0.78 pitcher. NYY is batting .254 on the road, .274 versus right-handers, and .233 over the last 7 days. In Play
- Away Hiroki Kuroda is off to a great start but he is one of those pitchers who is night and day different on the road as opposed to at home. KAN offense is potent. They are batting .262 at home, .251 versus right-handers and .235 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batters
- Home The BvP numbers are low but Alex Gordan, Billy Butler, and Jeff Francoeur have positive numbers. The lefty, Mike Moustakas has been hot and gains the splits in his favor today.
- Away Robinson Cano is a sick 12-37 with 5 HRs versus Santana. Ichiro Suzuki ‘s BvPs are nice as well and he has been hot producing 21.5 fp over the last 7 days.
Baltimore at Minnesota

| ROAD | (1-3), 3.9 ERA, 3 HRA, 6 K/9, 1.2 WHIP | HOME | (0-2), 5.91 ERA, 2 HRA, 4.2 K/9, 1.875 WHIP | ||||

BAL BvP | BAL vs L | MIN BvP | MIN vs L | ||||
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 8
- Favored Pick’em
Pitchers
- Home Scott Diamond is an okay ground ball pitcher but he does not get enough Ks for the purpose of daily fantasy. He just had a fantastic game versus DET which is impressive but he is not playable. BAL is batting .271 on the road, .228 versus left-handers, and .283 over the last 7 days. Avoid
- Away Wei-Yen Chen is another ground ball pitcher that has been okay on the year. He gets a few more Ks which makes him considerable. I do not like taking players like him unless they are the favorites, though, and this game is listed as a Pick’em so I will be looking elsewhere. MIN is batting .261 at home, .270 versus left-handers, and .265 over the last 7 days. In Play
Batters
- Home Joe Mauer, Ryan Doumit, Justin Morneau and Oswaldo Arcia have all been hot for the Twins but I am not crazy about the lefty/lefty matchup today with all of them. Trevor Plouffe might be a sneaky play at 3B because of his pop.
- Away Diamond has been tough on the year but BAL is a very talented team. Look towards Adam Jones and Matt wieters who gain the splits in their favor. Also, Manny Machado has been real hot producing 26 fp over the last week.
Texas at Houston
| Texas | Houston | ||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minute Maid Park | 2:10 PM | ||||||
| Nick Tepesch – (2-3), 4.5 ERA, 6.19 K/9, 1.34 WHIP | Jordan Lyles – (1-0), 4.5 ERA, 10.8 K/9, 1.3 WHIP | ||||||
| PvB | (0-0 H/AB) 0 BA-A, 0 K%, 0 OPS-A | PvB | (20-65 H/AB) 0.308 BA-A, 15.38 K%, 0.877 OPS-A | ||||
| ROAD | (1-2), 5.51 ERA, 2 HRA, 5.5 K/9, 1.469 WHIP | HOME | (1-0), 4.5 ERA, 1 HRA, 10.8 K/9, 1.3 WHIP | ||||

TEX BvP | TEX vs R | HOU BvP | HOU vs R | ||||
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 9
- Favored TEX -165
Pitchers
- Home Jordan Lyles made it exactly 80 pitches in his last start. He is not a bad pitcher but TEX is a tough opponent and I doubt he goes past 5 IP today so there is not much upside in the play. TEX is batting .254 on the road, .260 versus right-handers and .259 over the last 7 days.
- Away I am fading Nick Tepesch simply because it has become to trendy to take the pitcher facing the K happy Astros and the Astros have been tough as of late so the results have not been there even though the upside exist. HOU is batting .229 at home, .232 versus right-handers, and .230 over the last 7 days. In Play
Batters
- Home Gentlemen start your TEX stacks!! BvP look good all around.
- Away Nick Tepesch has been Mediocre on the year so I think you can look to the Astros for value today. It is hard to say who will even be playing, though.

COL BvP | COL vs L | STL BvP | STL vs L | ||||
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 8
- Favored STL -160
Pitchers
- Home Jaime Garcia is a very safe daily fantasy option. His K totals are on the low side but his ERA and WHIP make him fantasy relevant especially at home where he is a much better pitcher. COL is batting .256 on the road, .275 versus left-handers and .183 over the last 7 days. Target
- Away Jorge De La Rosa is not a player you can consider taking unless he is pitching in a pitcher’s park versus an easy opponent. He does not get enough Ks and STL is not easy. STL is batting .268 at home, .272 versus right-handers and .300 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batters
- Home Allen Craig has been hot producing 24.5 fp. Matt Holliday (If he Plays) and Yadier Molina have positive BvPs versus De La Rosa.
- Away Carlos Gonzalez is 4-9 versus Garcia with an HR. Most of COL has been cold, however, so I am waiting for a return to Coors Field before I start considering them.
