- OU 9.5
- Favored DET -190
Pitchers
- Home Jordan Lyles has had a great start in Triple A but you cannot even consider starting him today against a DET team with 4 starters batting over .300. Avoid
- Away Rick Porcello gets a boost in value from an Astros team leading the league in Ks but with only 8 Ks on the season I am not sure how much value that will actually be gained. HOU is batting surprisingly well on the season and Porcello has been struggling. He should get the win but not without damage. Avoid
Batters
- Home Chris Carter has been the most productive Astro. He brings high upside for a low cost. I think the Astros score some runs today so look to their LU to add value to yours.
- Away Gentleman start your DET stacks. Prince Fielder gets a righty in a hitter’s park and 2-4 versus him with 1 HR if you needed a reason to play him.

Las Vegas
- OU 9
- Favored Pick’em
Pitchers
- Home Wily Peralta is giving his team a chance to win which is great for a back of the rotation pitcher but horrible for daily fantasy. He simply gives up too many runs and does not get enough Ks. He is only considerable against the most favorable of matchups. Avoid
- Away Jake Westbrook has been pitching fantastic so I am a little surprised this game is a pick’em given his opponent. His Ks are a little low but he has induced 53 ground ball outs to only 31 fly ball outs which means his ERA and WHIP are not a fluke. He runs into a very hot MIL team batting .274 at home, .241 vs. right-handers and .275 over the last 7 days with 14 HRs. They also own a plump .356 BAA vs. him as a team. This is a hot pitcher facing an equally hot offense. In Play
Batters
- Home Carlos Gomez has had a great start to the season. He has had an even better week producing 40 fp. Ryan Braun has the nicest set of BvPs today with a 10-19 line with 1 HR. Lucroy and Betancourt ‘s numbers look good, also.
- Away Carlos Beltran has been the hottest Cardinal producing 24.75 fp over the last week with 3 HRs. Matt Carpenter was hot at the beginning of the year then cold. He seems to be heating up again. I like a small Cardinals stack to produce today.
Baltimore at LA Angels

Las Vegas
- OU 9
- Favored LAA -115
Pitchers
- Home Joe Blanton has been pretty bad to start the season. He has only 13 Ks in 5 starts and has a WHIP of 2.10. He runs into a BAL team batting .267 on the road, .269 vs. right-handers and .271 over the last 7 days. The splits favor BAL in this one and the BvPs strongly favor them also. Avoid
- Away Chris Tillman was a decent spot start a year ago but I am not sure I trust him on the road today where his ERA is much worse. The OU of this game is high and he draws a LAA team batting .293 at home, .268 vs. right-handers and .232 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batters
- Home Mark Trumbo and Mike Trout have been the hot Angels. I would stay away from Albert Pujols until more is known about his injury. I have not yet given up on Josh Hamilton. He is super cheap and gets another righty today.
- Away Nate McLouth and Chris Davis have been red hot and draw the righty today. Nick Markakis has the best BvPs of the day and it is never a bad idea to play Adam Jones versus a struggling pitcher.
