Pitcher Grind Down
- Travis Wood – Wood has pitched far better away from Wrigley Field and has mowed down the Pirates in their two prior meetings this season. Don’t count on a win, but he should have a solid game. Pitcher Rating: 6 out of 10
- Francisco Liriano – Liriano has been outstanding both at home and vs the Cubs in 2013. His strike-out rate is elite and the Pirates are counting on him in the midst of a playoff race. Pitcher Rating: 9 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Andrew McCutcheon is usually a solid play against lefties but is just 1 for 16 against Travis Wood.
Absolutely avoid any Chicago Cub left handed hitters; as lefties are hitting just .135 against Liriano.

Pitcher Grind Down
- Zach McAllister – McAllister has cruised through the White Sox lineup in each of his 3 prior starts this season. He struggled down the stretch but has a favorable matchup against these terrible White Sox. Pitcher Rating: 6 out of 10
- Chris Sale – While Sale has pitched very well at US Cellular Field, he has been roughed up by the Indians in 2013. Pitcher Rating: 7 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Adam Dunn is 2 for 14 with 9 k’s off of McAllister.
Ryan Raburn has smacked Chris Sale around; going 6 for 16 with a pair of homeruns.

Pitcher Grind Down
- David Price – Last year’s CY Young winner has pitched very well after a slow start to the 2013 season. While he was roughed up last week, he has a favorable matchup against a weak hitting Minnesota team. Pitcher Ratiing: 8 out of 10
- Pedro Hernandez – Hernandez has been far more successful at home but isn’t a strong fantasy option. Pitcher Rating: 3 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Righties are hitting .336 off of Hernandez this year so all of the Tampa righties are in play (especially Evan Longoria who crushes left handed pitching)
It’s wise to avoid any of the Twins’ hitters, as there are plenty of better options out there.
LA Angels vs. Houston

Pitcher Grind Down
- Jerome Williams – Jerome Williams is at best an average MLB pitcher but has the luxury of taking on an absolutely terrible Houston team. Pitcher Rating: 6 out of 10
- Paul Clemens – Unfortunately for Paul, his first name isn’t Roger. With a 5.91 ERA on the year you would be wise to look elsewhere. Pitcher Rating: 0 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Right handed batters are hitting .295 off of Paul Clemens.
Lefties have had more success against Jerome Williams witch makes Jason Castro a strong play behind the plate.

Pitcher Grind Down
- Bronson Arroyo – With Cincinnati fighting for a playoff birth, they will count on Bronson Arroyo to bring his “A” game. He has pitched better on the road and has mowed down the Brewers in 2013. Pitcher Rating: 7 out of 10
- Yovani Gallardo – Gallardo seems to have put his early season struggles behind him as he sports a 2.63 ERA since the break. He has also pitched very well against Cincinnati this season. Pitcher Rating: 6 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Left handed batters are hitting .288 off of Arroyo this year, so both Norichika Aoki and Scooter Gennett are solid options.
Both Ryan Ludwick and Jay Bruce have punished Yovani Gallardo in the past and are well worth rostering.
