Pitcher Grind Down
- Scott Feldman – So Feldman has hit value in each of his last 4 starts and has been a surprising rock for an Orioles team that has struggled with their pitching. But he heads into Fenway to face a team that has an .827 OPS at home. Starter Rating: 3 out of 10
- Ryan Dempster – Dempster pitched surprisingly well in his last outing vs. TBR and he has a 2.51 ERA in 3 starts against the Orioles this season. He has a good shot at picking up a win and if he can keep Chris Davis and Adam Jones in the park, he’ll be in OK shape. Starter Rating: 6 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
- Mike Napoli is red hot and is 11-26 with 2 HR off Feldman. Salty also has a HR against Feldman and has been hitting well of late.
- With an O/U of 9.5 and the Sox being a strong favorite, a semi-stack may not be a bad idea.
- Dempster has an .863 OPS against righties. Jones, Hardy and Machado are all good plays.
- McLouth, Markakis and Davis all have HRs off Dempster, but none of them have great averages against.

Pitcher Grind Down
- Yusmeiro Petit – Petit followed his near perfect game with a decent performance against the Rockies. He’s still striking out a bunch of batters (10.41 K/9 on the year) and has a great matchup against NYM. Petit should be considered in GPPs and H2H’s alike tonight. Starter Rating: 8 out of 10
- Zack Wheeler – Flip the coin and you have another young arm in Wheeler. In his only start vs. SFG he went 7 IP with 5 Ks and 1 ER. His K-rate is also strong and the Giants offense, while better of late, is not putting much fear in opposing pitchers. This one should be low scoring. Starter Rating: 7 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
- Wheeler’s one downfall has been a bit of a struggle against left handed batters, allowing them to hit for a .753 OPS against.
- I love Brandon Belt today, who is 10 for his last 25 with a HR.
- I’m avoiding most of the other hitters in this game with a low OU of just 7 runs

Pitcher Grind Down
- Alexi Ogando – Ogando returns from the bullpen to face Tampa tonight but should probably be avoided until he can stretch his arm out. Don’t expect him to toss more than 4-5 IP. Starter Rating: 3 out of 10
- Jeremy Hellickson – The Rangers came into Monday night having gone a full week without a HR. They’re one of the coldest offenses in baseball and Hellickson has been strong in each of his last 2 outings, despite pitching just 5 1/3 IP in each. I like him to go a little further tonight. Starter Rating: 6.5 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
- It’s tough to pick guys when you know Ogando won’t be in there long. But Wil Myers went deep on Monday and has shown he’s a bit of a microwave hitter this year.
- Ogando has an .830 OPS against righties this year. Longo and the afore mentioned Myers are strong plays.
- Hellickson has struggled against lefties, allowing 15 HR and a .792 OPS against. Consider Moreland, Murphy, and Pierzynski from TEX this evening as well as Jurickson Profar.
- Berkman played on Monday and has 2 HR in 5 ABs against Hellickson.

Pitcher Grind Down
- Jeff Samardzija – The Shark is perhaps the most frustrating pitcher in daily fantasy. I never know what to expect from him. He has pitched well against Milwaukee with a 2.57 ERA and can be the best pitcher on any given day. For that reason, I’ll say he’s a great GPP option but not worth the risk in H2H/Double Up play. Starter Rating: 6.5 out of 10
- Marco Estrada – Estrada proved me wrong in his last outing against the Cardinals but his 7.4 ERA at home again has me worried. I’m gonna ignore it today though against a weak Cubs lineup. His K-potential and a good matchup make him a strong option this evening. Starter Rating: 7 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
- Aoki is 5-13 with 2 XBH off Samardzija. Lucroy, Segura and Aramis have all struggled though.
- Starlin Castro has been better in recent weeks and is 6-15 with 3 XBH off Estrada.
- Welington Castillo is 6 for his last 18 (coming into Monday) with 3 HR

Pitcher Grind Down
- Mike Leake – Leake was bumped on Monday following the start for Cueto but gets to face the same Astros on Tuesday. He’s coming off back to back solid starts against LAD and CHC and should be in play in all formats tonight. The fear is that when he’s bad, he’s really bad and the Astros have occasionally been a solid offensive team. Starter Rating: 7 out of 10
- Jordan Lyles – The 2.92 ERA and 0.91 WHIP over the last 14 days is certainly impressive. His last four starts have been against Seattle (twice), Minnesota and Chicago. This Reds offense isn’t that soft and Lyles will be tested early and often. Starter Rating: 3 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
- Leake has a .736 OPS against right handed batters and has been HR prone at time. The guy I think can take advantage of that is the hit or miss Chris Carter
- Jose Altuve is 12 for his last 27 and 4 for 12 off Leake lifetime
- The Over/Under is high at 8.5, I think both teams will put some runs up.
- Joey Votto is 5-7 with a HR off Lyles, Zack Cozart is 3-5 with a HR and 2 2Bs.
- Righties have an .844 OPS against Lyles. Consider Frazier, Ludwick and Cozart as strong plays today.
