MLB DFS Lineup Advice Today

It’s April 2nd and time for our first MLB Hittin’ The Nuts of the season. We have a 9-game slate on both FanDuel and DraftKings that starts at 7:10 PM ET. It could get shortened to an 8-game slate starting at 7:40 PM ET if the weather in New York doesn’t cooperate and this DET/NYM game gets postponed. Make sure you’re tuning into Crunch Time for the latest on the weather and the starting lineups.

Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

Top MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel

Top Stacks

Overall Stack: Atlanta Braves
Implied Run Total: 5.35 (1st)
Approximate Total Ownership: 76-82%

Not much stands out on this slate, but one thing that does catch the eye is that Atlanta is the only team on the board with an implied run total over 4.7 runs, with a 5.4 implied run total that is significantly higher than any other team. Ronald Acuna is the hitter I’m most likely to pay up for, with the platoon advantage, a leadoff hitting slot that could get him an extra plate appearance, top-10 home run odds, and the best odds for a stolen base on the board tonight. I’m interested in the entire Braves stack however, with Adam Duvall and Marcell Ozuna standing out as outfielders with power if I can’t spend up for Acuna. I promise I won’t spend this entire season writing up the team with highest implied run total on the board, but Atlanta differentiates themselves tonight from the rest of the offenses in a way we usually see on Coors Field slates, but they might not garner as much ownership.
