MLB DFS Lineup Advice Today

Tuesday night brings us a 9-game slate and a few extra minutes to set our lineups, with a 7:10 PM ET first pitch on both FanDuel and DraftKings. This slate may be more notable for who is missing. With teams like the Yankees, Royals, and Astros off the slate, we’re missing the likes of Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Bobby Witt, and Yordan Alvarez. That leaves me more inclined to spend up at pitching with some money to spend.

Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

The Rockies are my top stack, with the team carrying the highest implied run total on the slate but with pOWN% spreading out among a number of the top offenses. The Rockies have been a poor offense away from Coors Field this season, with the highest road K% in the majors this season and the league’s 28th-ranked road wOBA. In their hitter-friendly home stadium, however, the Rockies have been more than serviceable. Colorado ranks 7th in wOBA and 9th in SLG% in their home games this season, yet they still don’t see outsized pOWN% at home because of their poor overall hitting.

It’s difficult to predict who will be in the Rockies lineup since the team has been dealing with injuries. Brenton Doyle was scratched last night, and Ezequiel Tovar has missed several games with an injury as well. Whoever is in the lineup gets to face Roddery Munoz. Munoz has been struggling even without having to pitch at Coors. The Marlins RHP has allowed a 5.98 ERA and given up 23 HRs in just 81.1 IP this year (2.55 HR/9). Munoz has had particular trouble with left-handed hitters in his rookie season, allowing a .684 SLG% and .440 wOBA to lefties. I’ll target Michael Toglia, Charlie Blackmon, and Nolan Jones as my top bats for the Rockies, with Ryan McMahon not far behind.
