MLB DFS Lineup Advice Today

We have an 11-game slate on tap for Tuesday night, with the first pitch on both FanDuel and DraftKings at 7:05 PM ET. There could be some rain issues tonight, with the LAA/NYY game looking particularly dicey, so be sure to check out Kevin Roth’s MLB Weather analysis. With the Mets in Coors Field and some good pitchers on the mound, even if we lose a game, this slate has a lot of options.

Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

I expect the Mets to be the most popular stack by a wide margin, but it’s difficult to point to any other team that looks better than them, even with the high pOWN%. The Mets rank 3rd in SLG% and 4th in wOBA vs. LHP across all parks, and tonight they get the benefit of being the road team in Coors Field against Rockies LHP Kyle Freeland. Freeland doesn’t strike many hitters out. He has an 18.5% K%, and he’s allowing a .509 SLG% and .365 wOBA to right-handed hitters this season. The Mets should be running out a lineup of predominantly right-handed hitters, and if we lose the Yankees game to weather, then the Mets will have the highest implied run total on the slate by a full run.

My top hitter on the Mets and top hitter for the slate is Francisco Lindor. The Mets SS hits lefties with power with a .288 ISO and .385 wOBA vs. LHP since the start of last season and is a threat on the base paths, ranking 11th in the majors with 23 SBs. Any number of Mets stand out as excellent options, with J.D. Martinez, Pete Alonso, and Mark Vientos all carrying ISOs over .239 and wOBAs over .367 vs. LHP since the start of last season.
