MLB DFS Lineup Advice Today

We have a big, wide-open 11-game slate on both FanDuel and DraftKings tonight, with the first pitch at 7:05 PM ET. There is no game in Coors Field, no must-have ace pitcher, and just a handful of offenses with implied run totals around the 5.0-run mark. That makes it a great night to play whoever you want, with pOWN% not concentrating on any one pitcher or stack.

Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

The Mariners are my top stack, and they are a team I’ve been playing much more of over the past week, coinciding with their current road trip. Seattle is a lineup I’ve targeted all season because of both their high strikeout rate and their home ballpark – T-Mobile Park in Seattle is ranked as the best park for pitchers by MLB park factors over the past three seasons. On the road, however, Seattle becomes a different team. The Mariners have the league’s highest K% and lowest SLG% at home this season and rank 4th-worst in ISO. On the road, the Mariners rank 6th in ISO and 10th in SLG%. The Mariners face Boston LHP James Paxton, who has just a 16.4% K% this season. When the Mariners make contact, they can put up some excellent power numbers, especially on the road.

Cal Raleigh is my top hitter on the Mariners, and as I wrote in the Expert Survey, he is my top hitter for the price on all teams:

“Raleigh continues to be one of the best hitters in the league outside of his home ballpark, but people don’t think of him that way, and he isn’t priced that way on DFS sites. Raleigh has homers in three straight games and ranks 2nd in the league (behind Aaron Judge) with a .348 ISO in away games, and has a .593 SLG% and .381 wOBA away from T-Mobile Park this season. He also has a .352 ISO this season vs. LHP in all ballparks.”

Beyond Raleigh, the Mariners have Mitch Garver with a .391 wOBA vs. LHP since the start of last season, and Dylan Moore, who has a .227 ISO vs. LHP over the same time frame and convenient multi-position eligibility on both FanDuel and DraftKings.
