MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, July 30

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Bobby Witt
SquirrelPatrol: Shohei Ohtani
boggslite: Bobby Witt
eys819: Bobby Witt

Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

CheeseIsGood: Corey Seager – While Seager ‘should’ be popular, there is no way for any shortstop to get over-owned when we have the likes of Bobby Witt and Elly De La Cruz up top. Then we have solid values in popular stacks with guys like Dansby Swanson and Dylan Moore. This leaves me loving the savings on Seager compared to Witt and Cruz, especially when we see the matchup against Lance Lynn, who is simply a bad pitcher against lefties at this stage of his career. Lynn is allowing a .190 ISO and .361 wOBA to lefties, while Seager has some of the best plate skills in the league against righties, to go along with a .233 ISO and 15.4% barrel rate.

SquirrelPatrol: Cal Raleigh – Raleigh continues to be one of the best hitters in the league outside of his home ballpark, but people don’t think of him that way, and he isn’t priced that way on DFS sites. Raleigh has homered in 3 straight games and ranks 2nd in the league (behind Aaron Judge) with a .348 ISO in away games, and has a .593 SLG% and .381 wOBA away from T-Mobile Park this season. He also has a .352 ISO this season vs. LHP in all ballparks.

boggslite: Bobby Witt – Hitting second in one of the best offenses in all of baseball, Witt has enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career. His speed and protection in the lineup make him difficult to pitch around, and tonight he faces a mediocre righty and a bad Chicago bullpen. With plenty of quality shortstops in good matchups as well, Witt’s ownership could be held in check, but he is a tough fade regardless, even at his steep price.

eys819: Ketel Marte – He has been incredible against LHP, with a .352 ISO and 14.8% barrel rate. His premium batting order spot and eligibility at a weak 2B position both add to his DFS appeal. He gets a matchup against Patrick Corbin, who has been very attackable for years now. This season, Corbin has allowed a .198 ISO and 8.7% barrel rate to righties while striking out just 16.5% of them.
