MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, April 10

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Bobby Witt Jr. (FD) / Byron Buxton (DK)
ebeimfohr: Bobby Witt Jr. (FD) / Byron Buxton (DK)
boggslite: Bobby Witt Jr. (FD) / Byron Buxton (DK)
Dean78904: Bobby Witt Jr. (FD) / Byron Buxton (DK)

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I prefer large-field tournaments tonight – or at least spreading out pretty far between different lineups, even if entering them all in different single-entry contests. I just can’t find any realistic separation between the top 10-12 offenses. I also expect the ownership to be pretty spread out, so I don’t even see a clear advantage to fading any of the top offenses. In these cases, where I’m going to be very spread out with offenses, I’m not going to worry about playing the chalky pitchers, even though they aren’t great. Where salary allows, I’ll just play Tyler Glasnow, and where I can’t get to him, I’ll go with Kris Bubic and Connelly Early.

ebeimfohr: This is a bit of a bizarre slate, with no true standout options at either pitcher or hitter, so that leads me to my trusted smaller-field tournaments where you really can “play whoever you want.” Outside of Tyler Glasnow and maybe a couple of hitters, there’s no ownership to be worried about, and given that I’m more likely to fade Glasnow, this should be sufficient in smaller fields.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – I plan to pay up for pitching as much as possible. There are not many great options to get excited about up top outside of Tyler Glasnow, but I want to resist the temptation of going cheap at SP2 with a chalky Walker Buehler. I will likely spread my exposure to several different stacks rather than load up on one option, as I have several teams lumped together that I want exposure to.

Dean78904: I prefer single-entry and smaller-field contests. This is an odd slate where there are no offenses or any pitchers that I love or feel like I must have. With that in mind, if any team or SP rises as super chalky when we close in on lock, I’m OK getting away from it. My pitching pool will likely consist of Tyler Glasnow, Kris Bubic, Emerson Hancock, Clay Holmes, and Connelly Early. Again, I don’t especially love any offense, and the weather is unappealing for hitting in most places, so I’m not expecting to make full stacks. With that in mind, I’m much more likely to run out 3-3-1-1 iterations in the hopes of finding some random homers.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
