MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, April 24

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Jose Ramirez (FD) / Shohei Ohtani (DK)
ebeimfohr: Aaron Judge (FD) / Shohei Ohtani (DK)
boggslite: Jose Ramirez (FD) / Shohei Ohtani (DK)
Dean78904: Jose Ramirez (FD) / Shohei Ohtani (DK)

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I lean a little more toward large-field tournaments tonight. I don’t have a lot of clarity within the top tiers for either pitching or hitting, but I do have a lot of clarity as to where those lines can be drawn. On the pitching side, I have at least 7 pitchers in my primary pool, with very little space between them, but I am also completely crossing off almost the entire pool below $8,000 on both sites, with just a couple of exceptions. On the hitting side, I have about a half-dozen stacks that are essentially tied and then another large pool of individual bats that I want to be sure to get exposure to. With this kind of player pool, I need at least 10 lineups to get to the group of lineups that I want.

ebeimfohr: My plan of attack is focusing on the “top” pitching plays, who are projecting strongly above the rest of the field, led by Freddy Peralta on both sites. That is going to mean leaning heavily into a lot of pOWN%, so I’ll be playing in smaller-field tournaments, where I can try to find the lower-pOWN% stacks to fit around the chalkier pitching.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – Outside of Freddy Peralta, I’m expecting ownership to be wide open on this massive slate. I’ll eat the chalk with Peralta, but I will likely spread my exposure around to different pitchers and stacks rather than load up on one particular team.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I don’t expect to get cute with the arms, as it is so much easier to get different with the bats. I’m very likely to lock in Freddy Peralta. The combination of opponent, pitching environment, and ballpark makes Peralta the clear top pitcher on the board for me. There is no obvious silver medalist, and I’ll likely cycle through the candidates for my SP2. There is a cluster of offenses I like but none I love. Team totals speak to this, as there are only two teams (Braves and Dodgers) that are barely above 5.00. This will likely lead me to go home-run shopping and not fully complete my stacks, opting to run out 3-3-2 / 3-3-1-1 iterations.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
