Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I will be playing both single-entry and large-field tournaments, with a similar player pool for both. On the pitching side, I’m only going to focus on Dylan Cease among the spend-up options, while I will be adding in some Reid Detmers on DK. I’ll mostly be throwing cheap darts at the group of Jared Jones, Jacob Lopez, Andrew Painter, and Quinn Mathews. With bats, I will not be fading the Braves, but I will come in under the field on the Orioles and A’s, moving instead to the White Sox and Twins.

ebeimfohr: The pitching is really, really strong on this slate, with a myriad of options across all price points on both sites that I think are more than viable tournament plays. So as strong as Dylan Cease is, I am going to look to find the under-owned pitching given that all of the good arms can’t possibly be popular. That will allow me to hone in on the top hitting spots, even if they come with ownership, which appears to primarily be the Braves against Tomoyuki Sugano for me.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. The most challenging thing for me is that I like too many SPs for someone who doesn’t make a lot of lineups. Dylan Cease is clearly the best SP when pOWN% and salary are not considered. I expect to prioritize him in my main lineup. I like Cam Schlittler and Logan Henderson plenty, but if I need the salary, I’m good with stepping down to Reid Detmers or Andrew Painter. Jacob Lopez and Jared Jones are also on my board as intriguing cheap tournament SPs. Andrew Painter is my favorite SP in that tier, but I’m not against pairing him with another one of those cheapies if I really want to load up on bats. As for bats, I expect to get some combination of Braves, Orioles, and Twins in my main lineup.
