MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, July 3

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Rafael Devers
ebeimfohr: Rafael Devers
Dean78904: Rafael Devers

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: My preference is large-field tournaments tonight with so much offense to love. There is so much elite hitting on this slate that I don’t see any need to try to get over the field on the Giants. I can also make a case not to fully stack anywhere, as we are likely to see home runs flying out of every ballpark. I don’t think this is the slate where you’re going to want spend-up bats in stacks who go 2-4 with a couple of runs, so I’m mostly focusing on power bats. I would love to play Shohei Ohtani and Dylan Cease, but it’s not realistic to get to the lineups I want to build with them, so I probably won’t have any double-ace lineups.

ebeimfohr: I am actually looking at more large-field tournaments tonight. I plan to fade the two spend-up pitchers on DK (i.e. Dylan Cease, Shohei Ohtani) and will instead cycle through cheaper pitchers with all of the awesome spend-up bats. There are several different expensive hitting stacks or environments, and I want to target each of those while getting a bit off the board at pitcher and away from the expensive aces.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry, smaller-field contests. I don’t expect to do anything goofy with pitching. Ideally, my pool will be Reid DetmersDylan Cease, and Shohei Ohtani. If I’m desperate for salary, I’ll consider letting Jake Bennett or Trevor Rogers into the pool. My favorite stacks are the Orioles and Yankees, and I expect to prioritize them over the Rockies and Dodgers. I like so many spots for offense that I’m more likely to make 3-3-1-1/4-2-1-1-type stacks in my main lineup.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
