What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: Both the pitching and hitting sides are so tangled that I much prefer MME. On top of that, I don’t think there is any such thing as chalk on this slate, which means we can’t find the usual edge in smaller-field tournaments from fading something at extreme ownership. I’m going to narrow my pitching pool a little more than my hitting pool but will still be more spread out than usual on both sides. The closest thing to a stand that I’m taking is to go with more balanced builds, as I like the mid-tier bats as much as the high-end bats. Because of that, I can also get away with less full-stacking — just putting together my favorite 2-3 bats from multiple teams.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – I will make paying up for pitching a priority, with Nick Pivetta, Bryan Woo, Framber Valdez, and David Peterson my top targets, as I don’t think the risk is worth the reward for any of the cheaper options. The matchups elevate their potential, and I expect all four to be worth their salaries. I’ll use some cheaper bats to fill my expensive stacks and even sacrifice a bat or two in my builds to make it work.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. There are 12 games, so you’d think I’d love something. I like plenty of things, but there’s nothing I love or must have. That said, I am allowing myself to be selective as far as who is in the playable bucket. Ideally, I won’t have to stray from Nick Pivetta, Framber Valdez, David Peterson, and Bryan Woo when it comes to SPs. As for offense, my main lineup will very likely consist of the Diamondbacks, Braves, Giants, and/or Mets.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
