MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, September 27
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
CheeseIsGood: Byron Buxton
boggslite: Teoscar Hernandez
ebeimfohr: Shohei Ohtani
Dean78904: Byron Buxton
Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
CheeseIsGood: Byron Buxton – The Twins are my top stack on the board when factoring in salary, with guys like Buxton and Royce Lewis being just a fraction of the salary of the other top bats on this slate. Baltimore’s Cade Povich has allowed a .217 ISO with a .370 wOBA and no ground-ball ability to righties this season. Buxton hits the ball hard and in the air with regularity against lefties and is underpriced for his upside.
boggslite: Wyatt Langford – Entering tonight’s game with a .368 wOBA and a solid .272 ISO against LHP, Langford has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise disappointing season for the Rangers. Tonight, he draws a great matchup against a struggling lefty in Reid Detmers, who has been shelled in back-to-back starts and is no stranger to coughing up the long ball.

ebeimfohr: Shohei Ohtani – Clearly, the pOWN% part here is the issue, but Ohtani is head and shoulders above the rest of the hitter pool. He’s a unicorn fantasy option with his power and speed, and he draws the best matchup on the board against Cal Quantirll and a horrible Rockies bullpen while getting a nice boost in the Coors Field elevation.
Dean78904: Max Muncy – I’m hesitant to write up a Dodger as there is a chance they do something silly with their lineup, but assuming Munch cracks it, he is in a spectacular power spot. Cal Quantrill is bad and is worse vs. lefty sticks (.193 ISO / .363 wOBA). As for Muncy, you guessed it, he smashes right-handers (.263 ISO / .379 wOBA). No matter the Dodgers lineup, whoever they end up rolling out, I like them as it certainly looks like Quantrill is munsoned in the middle of nowhere with impending doom on layaway.
