What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I am playing one lineup on DraftKings and one lineup on FanDuel. They will mostly be dispersed in single-entry and smaller-field contests, but of course, you have to put those lineups in the flagship GPPs just in case. Trying to get different tonight won’t be very difficult. It’s a fairly large slate, and right off the bat, it looks like the Brewers, Yankees, and Rays will be chalky hitters, and I can get away from those stacks altogether. At pitching, with three aces — maybe four if you count Yoshinobu Yamamoto — I plan on playing one of those guys and then one cheaper option as my SP2.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – This is a tricky slate since the top three pitchers are worth paying up for, but there are also some expensive stacks in great hitting spots. My preference is to get at least one of Garrett Crochet, Nathan Eovaldi, or Yoshinobu Yamamoto in my lineups and to look for cheaper options only if I have to. The Cardinals, Brewers, and Rays stand out as value stacks that will allow you to load up on pitching, but I also like the A’s, Yankees, and potentially the Dodgers as stacks to pay up for.
ebeimfohr: It’s Jeffrey Springs Day, and he is, as usual, not projecting for a ton of ownership, so I will be looking to pair him with some of the “best” plays on the board tonight in single-entry or smaller-field tournaments, including a chalkier Garrett Crochet, who comes with such a monstrous floor/ceiling combo for those types of tournaments.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
