Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I don’t have a strong preference between contest sizes tonight, as I’ll use the same player pool and lineup-building plan in both single-entry and MME contests. There are enough good pitchers and offenses on both sites that I can focus on my top 5 pitchers and 4 or 5 offenses while still having plenty of ways to be different. While I love a few expensive bats, I’ll prioritize the top-tier pitchers. Zack Wheeler, Chase Burns, and Parker Messick are priorities, with Cade Cavalli joining the group on FD. On FD, I’m not going to overthink things with the Twins and Cubs. On DK, however, I’ll play more bottom-of-the-order stacks from those teams and fill in with one-offs around them. I’ll also add some cheap pitching to my DK pool to help me afford the top bats, including Jose Urquidy, Zebby Matthews, and Kumar Rocker.

headChopper: I actually love this slate for large-field tournaments on both sites. I like the slate in general, and I love the contests the two sites have released for this Monday. In reality, I am doing GrindersLive, and with the late games, that does not fit my timeline to build 150 lineups on each site. So I am playing one lineup on DraftKings and FanDuel and building it by hand. It will be in small-field tournaments mainly. On FanDuel, I’ll spend up for one of the elite pitchers. On DraftKings, I’ll probably roster one of those arms, and then I’ll find a way to save at SP2. I’ll choose one stack on each site for my lineup and build around it with the pieces that fit best.

ebeimfohr: I plan to play smaller-field tournaments with one primary focus on both sites: attacking Merrill Kelly. Kelly continues to get pummeled in nearly every start, and the Cubs are a dangerous offense with plenty of power and speed. They are also guaranteed 9 innings of hitting on the road in Arizona. I don’t expect the Cubs to be super sneaky, so I’m going to get away from the Zack Wheeler + Parker Messick combination as much as possible. I’ll likely target the woeful A’s lineup with Zebby Matthews or pivot to Chase Burns at the top if his projected ownership remains low.
