MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, June 8
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Yordan Alvarez
ebeimfohr: Yordan Alvarez
boggslite: Yordan Alvarez
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in large-field tournaments?
headChopper: Rafael Devers
ebeimfohr: Fernando Tatis Jr.
boggslite: Jackson Chourio
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I prefer large-field tournaments where I can multi-enter. I want to pick a handful of stacks and jam them into my lineups. This slate is not quite big enough or offensive-minded enough to do much double stacking, but at least one large team stack on each lineup should do the trick for me. I’ll be overweight on Cristopher Sanchez, but after that, I think pitcher is very spread out, so I will pair him with multiple options at SP2.
ebeimfohr: I am focusing on smaller-field, single-entry tournaments, and I am leaning into a few chalkier spots (hello Yordan Alvarez). To surround these top projected hitters, I will be looking (via our MLB DFS sims tool, SimLabs) to find hitting pieces who are projecting for lower ownership, as well as at my SP2 spot on DK (or SP1 on FD).
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – Even with Cristopher Sanchez and Kyle Harrison drawing tough matchups, I still want to get at least one of them into my lineups, as they are head and shoulders above the rest of the field. On the hitting side, as much as I like the Brewers, I will spread my exposure around to several stacks that have the potential for big games, such as the Astros, Phillies, Mariners, and Padres.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
