What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: On DraftKings, I’m targeting small-field, limited-entry contests with a hand-built lineup. On FanDuel, I’ll be running 100 lineups in large-field GPPs based on my settings in LineupHQ. I’ll be underweight on the Dodgers for sure, and the Athletics are jumping out to me as a team I’ll be well over the field on. I plan to lock in Bailey Ober as my SP1, and then see what salary I have left for my SP2.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – With the Phillies likely soaking up a majority of the ownership, I plan to spread my exposure around with different stacks rather than loading up on the Phillies. As for pitching, the matchup between Robbie Ray and Kris Bubic is intriguing, but my initial lean is to find some savings at pitcher with guys like Luis Castillo and/or Cristopher Sanchez. Keeping tabs on the weather will be important for pitching, as it could make Sonny Gray interesting in tournaments, but I likely won’t be targeting bats in the DET/STL or CLE/MIN games.

ebeimfohr: I understand it’s Coors Field, but when we get the Phillies as chalk—especially against LHP—I love the condensed ownership we get on them in smaller-field, single-entry tournaments. X-ing out Philly and targeting the top bats that are under-owned via our MLB DFS sims tool (SimLabs) is how I’m approaching this slate, alongside the “best” pitching.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – There are several really strong stacks on this slate, though they are fairly expensive. I’ll pay up for my primary stacks and try to save some salary at pitcher with my secondary stacks and one-offs. I will have the largest possible primary stack in a majority of my lineups.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
