What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I’m playing 1 lineup in small-field GPPs with limited entries. It’ll be a full 4-man stack paired with either a 3-man secondary stack or two 2-mans. My pitchers will be chalky, so I’m leaning on off-the-radar bats within my stacks for differentiation. I’ll have some version of a Yankees stack, but I’m fading Aaron Judge in it.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – All three of Carlos Rodon, Kyle Bradish, and Ranger Suarez are solid pitchers with reasonable price tags, but I don’t feel the need to jam them into lineups, as they are better real-life pitchers than guys who will regularly break the slate. My preference is to get at least one of them in my lineups on 2-pitcher sites and pair them with one of the cheaper options available, like Zac Gallen. My top offense is the Yankees, and they are in a tier of their own, followed by the Blue Jays, Orioles, and Astros.

ebeimfohr: I’m a big fan of smaller-field tournaments tonight. Also, at this time of year in MLB DFS, it’s not exactly late-season NBA-level chaos, but September baseball can get a little wonky. In these smaller-field tournaments, that can lead to some condensed chalk but with even more variance than usual for baseball, with more players—both pitchers and hitters—with fragile projections. Leaning into lower ownership with both arms and hitters can be super advantageous.
