What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: As usual, this will be a large-field tournament slate for me. I am going to take a stance by fading the bats at Coors Field. While that feels scary and weird, I actually feel comfortable with it. It’s cold and snowy, the Nationals are mega expensive, and the Rockies are just not a scary offense and are facing MacKenzie Gore. I will also take a super overweight stance on Shane Baz as a GPP pitching option.
Krayton: I will be playing more large-field GPPs along with single-entry contests. I like Garrett Crochet as the top pitcher, but I plan on going overweight on Paul Skenes and Shane Baz. I also plan on going overweight on a stack like CIN while going underweight on the Coors Field game.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field contests, and I plan to keep a really tight pitcher pool. Skenes, Crochet, Greene, and Baz will be my core, but I might also mix in both pitchers in Coors, as I like the upside of Gore and Dollander for GPPs.
tcsmith031: I’ll attack some large-field, multi-entry contests. This is a terrifying approach, but I plan to be underweight on Garrett Crochet because of the hitter-friendly weather in Boston. I’ll also be stacking the White Sox against him and hoping they can benefit from facing him for the second time in under a week.

About the Author

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
