What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I really like this slate. I will be playing around 25 entries in the larger-field tournaments. I am taking a stand on Eury Perez as my favorite pitcher to be overweight on outside of the aces, and I will be overweight on stacks of the Red Sox and Astros on a slate that doesn’t offer much to like for bats.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-max contests on both sites. I expect to have a pretty small pitching pool. Tanner Bibee is one I will be overweight on as much as I hate to say it, but I will be playing pitchers often against my Minnesota Twins, who have a completely different team after trading several starters. For stacks, BOS and HOU are a couple of my favorites at the top, but I also like getting some NYY and MIA game stacks, as we saw both sides put up big runs last night in Miami.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs. I’ll try to be overweight on both stud pitchers, Zack Wheeler and Tarik Skubal. I’ll play some uncomfortable cheap stacks like the Twins and Marlins to make it work, so I can ideally even play them in the same lineup.

tcsmith031: Single-entry and 20-max for me, as usual. While I’ll still have plenty of exposure to Tarik Skubal and Zack Wheeler individually, I like the idea of splitting them up in single-entry contests on DraftKings. Pairing one of them with Eury Perez or Tanner Bibee frees up some salary for bats. I think Skubal + Wheeler + Brewers will be a pretty popular way to build, and with good reason. Pivoting one SP spot or the primary stack is an easy way to get different enough in tournaments.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Epignosis
Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
