MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, August 24
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I am going to operate with a very narrow pitching pool tonight, with nearly 100% exposure to Tarik Skubal. His skill set and matchup combination are so far ahead of any other pitcher on this slate. Even though he will assuredly be very popular, I am going to be overweight compared to field. For bats, I will be primarily looking at stacks of teams like the Tigers, Padres, and Braves, and I will be underweight on the Phillies.
Krayton: I will have a narrow pitching pool with plenty of exposure to Tarik Skubal, as there is a decent amount of value to allow you to play him. I will also have exposure to Ben Lively to save money, and I like Clayton Kershaw’s price on DK. With the Dodgers back to being fully healthy, they are a team that I will be overweight on for the rest of the season.

tcsmith031: There are quite a few appealing pitchers on this slate, so you don’t have to go too far off the board if you don’t want to. I don’t think you’re crazy to punt with a few lineups in tournaments, however. Ky Bush may be terrible, but at least he’s cheap on DraftKings ($5,200). Will Warren ($6,000) is the standout salary-saver on FD in a beatable matchup against the Rockies. I’ll be sprinkling in both along with a heavier dosage of Tarik Skubal, Clayton Kershaw, and Charlie Morton.
TJ Zwarych: While there are a lot of really good pitchers playing tonight, most of them don’t have very good matchups outside of Tarik Skubal. I’m going to hit the lock button on Skubal tonight and play him on all 150 of my lineups, while mixing in various cheap SP2s like Clayton Kershaw, Ben Lively, Ky Bush, and even a touch of Taj Bradley.
