MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, August 3

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I am going to take a few stands today. For stacks, I like the Orioles and Braves quite a bit, and I will be significantly overweight on both of those teams. I will be underweight on the Mets and Dodgers. For pitching, I prefer Bailey Ober and Hunter Greene and will be underweight on Jack Flaherty.

Krayton: Bailey Ober is a pitcher I may just lock in today and then mix in my favorite stacks around him. He is going to be popular, but his matchup is the best you can get, and he is coming off an 11 K game against Detroit. I also like Hunter Greene, and on DK, I will be looking to build around Ober and Greene. I do think Grant Holmes is an interesting play on FD if you are looking to completely stack the top end bats.

tcsmith031: I’ll likely roll with a very tight pitching pool tonight. I don’t see much of a need to mess around with anyone beyond Jack Flaherty, Bailey Ober, Hunter Greene, or Martin Perez, so I’ll likely just mix and match them in the vast majority of builds. I also don’t hate the idea of hunting for some leverage with a stack like the Giants, who get a huge park boost in a matchup against one of the chalkiest pitchers on the board in Greene.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll take a few cheap shots in my MME builds on Mitch Spence, Martin Perez, and Joey Cantillo, but for the most part, I’ll be keeping a tight pool focusing on Jack Flaherty, Hunter Greene, Bailey Ober, and Grant Holmes. I’ll even play Holmes on DK, where he’s almost $8,000.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
