MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, April 21

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

STLCardinals84: Ownership is going to be spread out enough today to the point where I don’t think you need to get too cute with your rosters. Just play the options that you have the most conviction with. I plan to be overweight on stacks of the Phillies, Astros, and Royals the most.

Krayton: I will have a tight pitching core that includes Aaron Nola and Tanner Bibee. I will then sprinkle in value options Jose Soriano and Louie Varland. The Phillies are a stack I will be overweight on as well as the Reds. On FD, I will be overweight on the Mariners, as they are just way too cheap for the upside they bring.

tcsmith031: It looks like the ownership will be much more congregated on the pitching side than the hitting side today. There isn’t a single stack (outside of SEA on FD) that stands out as the clear-cut top option, so I’m unlikely to roster a single stack in more than 20% of my total lineups this afternoon in an attempt to cast a wide net.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll have a tight pitching pool focused on Aaron Nola, Tanner Bibee, Aaron Civale, Casey Mize, and Jose Soriano while mixing and matching my stacks in MME. I want to make sure I’m also overweight on the Twins, Guardians, and Angels.

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Epignosis
Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
