What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I will play around 20 entries in the large-field tournaments. With ownership likely jumbled together quite a bit, I don’t think you need to worry TOO much about ownership today. Just play the pitchers and stacks you like the most. That said, I do like going for a few contrarian stacks on slates where there is not a lot separating the offenses. The Cardinals, Tigers, and Blue Jays are teams that I will definitely be overweight on from the offensive side of the ledger.

Krayton: I will be playing 20-entry max along with single-entry contests. On FanDuel, I am not overthinking it and will be stacking the Coors game in several different ways. I also will be a little more spread out with my pitching pool, as I like quite a few of the mid-tier options, such as Tylor Megill, Brayan Bello, and even Logan Allen. I like the spend-up options for stacks, so I will build my stacks first and then look to see what pitchers fit.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll run my typical 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and it’s a tale of two sites for how I’ll be attacking the slate. On FanDuel, I don’t really care about the projected ownership- it’s all about Coors Field with a nice warm day in Denver and winds blowing out to center. On DraftKings, I’ll look to get overweight on cheap pitchers like Jose Soriano, Tylor Megill, Logan Allen, and Mitchell Parker, while mixing and matching my stacks.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
