What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 10 entries in the larger-field tournaments. I am going to take a stand on Hunter Brown over Tarik Skubal for my GPP SP1, while I will be significantly overweight on Yankees stacks. There is not a ton of offense that I like on this slate, and the Yankees are far and away my favorite team to target.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-entry contests. I will have exposure to both Tarik Skubal and Hunter Brown, but I will be overweight on Ian Seymour, especially on FanDuel where he’s just $7,100 and allows you to get all the bats you want. He had a great start last week, striking out 8 batters, and I like his price and upside potential. I have a lot of interest in NYY and NYM, and playing Seymour allows you to get exposure to both.

tcsmith031: Strictly MME contests for me this afternoon. At first glance, I’ll take the scary underweight approach with the chalky Yankees stack against Martin Perez. I admittedly don’t have a ton of faith in his chances of taming this lineup, but he is a wily veteran, and New York’s offense doesn’t profile quite as well against lefties these days. I also like the way lineups come together with either Tarik Skubal or Hunter Brown paired with a cheap Ian Seymour on DraftKings. The Mets are my favorite expensive alternative to the Yankees, while both offenses in the MIL/TOR game could be somewhat sneaky. If I need value, both Cleveland and Pittsburgh offer useful cheap bats.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Epignosis
Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
