MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, June 21

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

stlcardinals84: Brandon Lowe (FD) / Yordan Alvarez (DK)
Krayton: Brandon Lowe (FD) / Yordan Alvarez (DK)
TJ Zwarych: Brandon Lowe (FD) / Yordan Alvarez (DK)

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I will be playing just a handful of entries in the large-field contests. For full transparency, this slate really doesn’t grab me. It stinks for offense (though it’s a little better on FD with the 2 extra games), and it just doesn’t feel all that exciting. I plan to be overweight on the Braves and Cardinals, and I am taking a stand on Dylan Cease (weather pending) and Logan Webb as my spend-up SP choices over Chase Burns.

Krayton: I will be playing my usual single-entry and 20-max contests. Two pitchers I am going to be overweight on are Dustin May and Logan Webb. On FD, the Coors game has largely disappointed this series, but I will be going overweight on both teams by stacking the Pirates and Rockies. On DK, I will be a little bit more spread out, with the Braves being my favorite.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I’ll try to keep a really tight pitching pool so that I can differentiate my stacks. There aren’t many offenses that really stand out, so I’ll instead focus on the mid-tier pitchers (e.g. Logan Webb, Nathan Eovaldi) while getting a few pieces of every offense in my MME build.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Epignosis
Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
