Who is your favorite sneaky stack on the board and why?

headChopper: Twins – Not much to choose from, but every once in a while, Michael Wacha is prone to a bad outing, and the Twins have more power and offense than they’ve shown this season. They have the 3rd-lowest team total on the slate, but with that total still sitting over 4 runs, they’re in a spot to be low-owned as a stack while still offering some upside.

Dean78904: Royals – Dating back to the start of last season, no pitcher on this slate has a higher K rate (26.7%) or lower SIERA (3.62) than Bailey Ober. However, he also has the biggest fly-ball lean. Too many of those balls in the air have disappeared over the fence, as Ober has served up 1.46 HR/9 in that time frame. The early 2025 sample is ridiculously small, but Ober has been brutal, as the fly balls and HRs are still a thing and he added some control issues. I’m not sure if I get to a full Royals stack, but if nothing else, I love the idea of Bobby Witt, Salvador Perez, and Vinnie Pasquantino as a mini stack.

ebeimfohr: Angels – Per Kevin Roth on our MLB weather page, the weather in Tampa is very nice today, sitting at 80 degrees, and we know that the new Rays’ park is a far better hitting environment than the old one. Zack Littell is a fine pitcher, but he struggles to generate strike outs, and the Angels actually have quite a bit of power with the additions of Jorge Soler and Kyren Paris. They sit 13th in the early going against RHP, and Mike Trout, Soler, and Taylor Ward haven’t really gotten going yet.
