Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in large-field tournaments?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I’m playing one lineup in small-field tournaments. There are so few good stacks, and my approach to stacking is different than a lot of DFS players, so I may not have any stacking outside of an organic small 2-man or 3-man stack. Most DFS players want stacking because of correlation. I take that approach in football, like pairing a QB with a WR. But in baseball, I stack because I am looking for an anomaly of a bad performance from a pitcher or the bullpen. On slates like this, I don’t see many opportunities, so I can buck the field and not stack to be different.

stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on 1-3 lineups in small-field tournaments. With the pitching we have, I have a hard time getting off of the popular bats. My biggest stand will be fading Gerrit Cole and the Diamondbacks. My favorite pitchers are Jacob Misiorowski, Chris Sale, and Noah Cameron. I’m hoping that Sale against the Dodgers will be lower owned and that Cameron is overlooked due to the other options we have. For hitting, I’m not going to overthink it – I’m going to play the Yankees, Giants, and Royals.

Notorious: I like to play small-field tournaments. My plan of attack is to spend up at pitcher and get as much exposure to the Yankees as possible. This essentially means I am going to punt the rest of the positions. The Royals are cheap on FD, while the Giants are cheap on DK. I expect most of the field on DK to save at SP2, so I will naturally be different than the field.
