What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I’ll be playing 1 lineup, with the build centered around small-field, single-entry contests. With an extremely small slate, I plan to get different by playing Ryan Gusto. Also, I think I’ll be playing hitters from several teams, meaning no hitter stacks of anything higher than 3.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. Tonight, I will prioritize arms over bats, as no team has a total above 5 runs, while we have three elite SPs. Ideally, my pitching pool will start and end with Chris Sale, Zack Wheeler, and MacKenzie Gore. I’ll likely stray from the standard 4-4 / 5-3 type of stacks and instead will homer-hunt with 3-3-1-1 / 4-2-1-1 type of builds.
ebeimfohr: On smaller slates like this, especially with some very strong pitchers, I particularly like to play smaller-field, single-entry tournaments and make some major pivots with either my arms or my stacks. I particularly like some of the offenses on this slate that are projecting for lower ownership, so getting off the board with bats in smaller-field contests really pops for me tonight.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
