What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 5 entries in the larger-field tournaments, with a clear plan to be underweight on everything Marlins. It’s no secret that Sandy Alcantara is underpriced for a matchup against the Rockies, but this is still a low-strikeout pitcher throwing in Coors Field. I also just don’t love playing the Marlins offense as chalk, as their likelihood of a massive spike game seems to be lower than most teams playing at Coors. Even if they score 8 runs like they did last night, it doesn’t necessarily mean you “have” to have them – especially if they only have 2 doubles and 1 home run like they did last night.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I’m just playing Tarik Skubal in every lineup I make. On DK, I’m good stepping all the way down to Sandy Alcantara as my SP2, which would subsequently have me likely to fade the Rockies. I like the Marlins fine, but I’m most likely to not have a full stack in my main lineup, as I’ll probably end up with some combination of players from the Marlins, Red Sox, Mets, and Royals – meaning I’ll presumably end up with a 3-3-1-1 / 3-2-2-1 type of build in my main lineup.

ebeimfohr: I don’t see many routes around the chalkier pitching – both Tarik Skubal and Sandy Alcantara – given their matchups and the pricing for Sandy. So, with their projected ownership, I’ll be leaning more heavily into the hitting options that are more off the beaten path. Based on ownership projections, that means moving away from the Marlins in Coors to just about any other offense we might want to target.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
