MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, September 19
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
SquirrelPatrol: Dansby Swanson
headChopper: Seiya Suzuki
ebeimfohr: Dansby Swanson
Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
SquirrelPatrol: Christian Walker – Arizona has the highest implied run total of any road team today, and the Diamondbacks rank 2nd in the league in SLG% and wOBA vs. RHP this season. Christian Walker has a .270 IS and .369 wOBA vs. RHP this season, and RHP Tobias Meyers has given up at least one HR in 4 consecutive starts.
headChopper: Seiya Suzuki – The Cubs should be popular, and they deserve to be in this matchup. With all the options in this lineup that hit left-handed pitching so well, maybe Suzuki gets lost a bit in the ownership game. We know Patrick Corbin typically struggles against right-handed hitting. Suzuki has a decently low 19.8% K rate vs. lefties while leading the lineup with an 11.9% walk rate. The opportunities should be there for him to drive in runners on base and score runs when he gets on himself.

ebeimfohr: Lars Nootbaar – We’re getting a little funky here, but Noot really checks every box as a top DFS play. Thanks to some early-season struggles, he is still very cheap, but he is up to a .373 xwOBA and .228 xISO against RHP this season. Meanwhile, Luis Ortiz has struggled to punch out lefties, allowing a .355 xwOBA and .250 xISO to them.
