MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, July 23

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

boggslite: Bobby Witt
eys819: Tyler O’Neill

Who is your favorite sneaky stack on the board and why?

CheeseIsGood: Diamondbacks – There are a ton of stacks to like, and most of them have to be off the radar. Assuming the Red Sox are the chalk, I’m not sure there is any other team that picks up enough ownership to be concerned about. What I like about the Diamondbacks is how spread out their lineup is outside of Christian Walker. They have affordable bats with some power, like Eugenio Suarez, Lourdes Gurriel, and Alek Thomas, so I don’t feel it is completely necessary to spend all the way up on their top 4-5 in every stack. With opposing pitcher Alec Marsh being a lower-strikeout pitcher to lefties and allowing power to righties, there are plenty of paths to big innings.

SquirrelPatrol: Cubs – The wind is blowing out at Wrigley, and while it’s more of an 8-MPH breeze than a strong wind, there is a high dew point that will give the weather a sticky feel and should help the ball stick to the bat on contact. WeatherEdge is showing this game with a 41.5% boost to HRs and a 25.7% boost to runs in a robust 174-game sample. Brewers RHP Colin Rea has given up 37 HRs in 229.2 IP over the past two seasons (1.45 HR/9), and the Cubs have Michael Busch, Seiya Suzuki, and Ian Happ who all have an ISO over .192 and a wOBA over .348 vs. RHP this season.

stevietpfl: Athletics – I like Jake Bloss tonight, but I’m still a little concerned they’ve progressed him to the majors too fast. If he struggles again, Oakland could be one of the best under-owned stacks on this slate. They have scored double-digit runs in 4 of their last 10 games. Brent Rooker, Shea Langeliers, Lawrence Butler, JJ Bleday, Seth Brown, and Zack Gelof all have an ISO over .175 against RHP this season.

boggslite: Cubs – I don’t think the wind will play a major factor as much as the heat and humidity at Wrigley Field tonight, making the Cubs an intriguing option with their power. Colin Rea isn’t a pitcher I typically prefer to stack against, but he lacks strikeout ability, which can be dangerous in this ballpark when the conditions are good for hitting.

eys819: Athletics – They have been an elite offense over the last 30 days, ranking 3rd in wRC+ and wOBA. They get a matchup against an inexperienced righty, Jake Bloss, who has made just 3 starts above Double-A and just 2 starts in the majors. The A’s offer elite power upside, and most of them still have very friendly salaries.
