Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stevietpfl: I will build 3-5 lineups in small-field contests. Pitching is rough on this slate, which means we have a lot of offenses to choose from. I’m going to play Dylan Cease, Shohei Ohtani, and Jesus Luzardo (FD). I’ll have some Spencer Arrighetti, but overall, I’ll be underweight on him. I’ll be overweight on the Yankees, Angels, Rangers, and A’s. With the potential we have on this slate, I’ll be prioritizing mostly 5-man and 4-man stacks.

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I’m going to eat a lot of chalk on the Yankees, but I am going to get different with my SP2 (Sean Burke) and the rest of my batters. The A’s are one of my favorite offenses on the slate, and they are naturally going to get overlooked since their best hitters are at the same positions as a lot of the Yankees. I’m planning to roll out a 3-man Yankees stack and a 3-man A’s stack in my main lineup.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I’ll be keeping a really tight pitching pool so I can get to a wide variety of stacks. I’ll play as much Dylan Cease and Shohei Ohtani as possible, while getting pieces of the Yankees, Rangers, Athletics, Astros, and Braves.
