What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stevietpfl: With the lack of pitching on this slate, I’m going to focus more on large-field tournaments. I’ll be spreading out my exposures on pitching. I usually try to narrow down my pitcher pool, but tonight, I plan on having a larger pool. I could see multiple teams scoring 10+ runs, so I’m going to focus on 5-3 and 4-4 types of stacks.

stlcardinals84: Large-field GPP contests will be my focus, and this is a super fun tournament slate. I will get different by not playing any stacks of the Dodgers. While that is obviously nerve-wracking, I like the thought process behind it. There is a lot of viable cheap pitching and not much expensive pitching available, so it makes it easier to fit the Dodgers’ bats into lineups. That is going to inflate ownership on a 10-game slate. German Marquez is not a gas can, and I think he can do enough to keep this dangerous offense in check. I prefer trying to pick out the occasional one-off power bat from the Dodgers, but otherwise, I will focus on my favorite stacks, like the Angels, Rays, and Diamondbacks.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I’ll be playing large team stacks, as usual, and getting fairly contrarian in which stacks I play while being underweight on the LA teams. I’ll largely eat the chalk at pitcher, but I plan to be significantly overweight on Mitchell Parker in large-field tournaments.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and I plan to go heavily overboard on the Angels against Patrick Corbin. While Mike Trout, Logan O’Hoppe, and Taylor Ward are my favorites, I also plan to stack up the back half of their lineup, particularly Kyren Paris and Jo Adell, as often as possible. I’ll be mixing-and-matching my pitchers with a tight group of stacks.
