MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, July 24
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
SquirrelPatrol: Aaron Judge
Dean78904: Gunnar Henderson
headChopper: Corey Seager
Alex Sonty: Corey Seager
Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
SquirrelPatrol: Aaron Judge – Judge is obtainable today with the salary a bit looser on FanDuel and no pitcher over $10,000 on DraftKings. Judge has a .419 ISO and .511 wOBA vs. LHP this season. The biggest concern is that the Mets will just keep walking Judge after he drew 4 BBs yesterday, but that will get harder if the Yankees put runners on base, which they can do at home against Sean Manaea.
Dean78904: Gunnar Henderson – The Orioles have one of best offenses in baseball (1st ISO, 2nd wRC+, and 3rd in wOBA vs RHPs) that I think they can overcome the pitcher-friendly dimensions at Marlins Park. Henderson is a big reason why Baltimore’s offense is so daunting, as he rocks a .308 ISO / .423 wOBA vs. RHPs this year. Today’s RHP, Edward Cabrera, has been really shaky as far as control goes (13.1%) and giving up dingers (2.45 HR/9). I’m a sucker for elite leadoff hitters on the road, as they are best positioned to get a precious 5th AB. The Orioles are my top team tonight and Gunnar will be a foundation piece for my stacks.

headChopper: Teoscar Hernandez – The home run derby champ has always been strong against left-handed pitching. This season, he has an ISO of .323 vs. LHP. Last season, it was .224, and this has been a theme throughout his career. Early ownership projections have him below 8%. He has as much upside in this matchup as anyone on the slate, especially considering the other big sluggers from his own team have a lefty vs. lefty matchup.
Alex Sonty: Teoscar Hernandez – Death, taxes, and Robbie Ray giving up homers. Ray might be good at nearly 33 years old, but Teoscar Hernandez is the Dodger best suited for taking Ray yard in a sneaky-good park for homers. Hernandez leads the team in barrel rate (21.6%), hard-hit rate (67.6%), and ISO (.323) versus LHP this season.
