Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stevietpfl: I will play 3 to 5 lineups in small-field tournaments. We have a loaded pitching slate, and I want to take advantage of that. I’ll be overweight on Jacob Misiorowski, Shohei Ohtani, and Christian Scott. I’ll be underweight on Dylan Cease. I like the ceiling for Misiorowski and Ohtani more than Cease. The Mariners are my top stack tonight. Lance McCullers has struggled with command, and the Houston bullpen is in the bottom 5 in multiple stats. They have the 4th-highest SIERA and the highest WHIP on the season. With the hitting options we have tonight, most of my builds will be 3-to-5-man stacks.

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. We have some truly elite pitching options on tonight’s slate, so I expect most to start their lineups with two of the expensive pitchers. This will especially be the case in small-field tournaments. My plan is to use one of the expensive pitchers and then save at the other, most likely with J.T. Ginn. This will make my roster construction different, and Ginn is projected for low ownership himself.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments. I’ll be going underweight on a couple of the chalkier stacks like Seattle and Arizona while loading up on the White Sox, Athletics, Cardinals, and Marlins. Jacob Misiorowski is my main priority at pitcher, as I’ll have at least double the field’s projected ownership on him.
