MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, May 6

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

stevietpfl: Byron Buxton
Notorious: Bo Bichette
TJ Zwarych: Juan Soto

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stevietpfl: This is a great slate, and I’ll be focusing on small-field contests. I think there are 9 pitchers worth playing. The biggest thing for me is trying to narrow down my pitching pool. Zack Wheeler and Will Warren (assuming the weather is okay) are my two favorite plays. On DraftKings, Colin Rea and Eury Perez are SP2 options I like. My biggest stand will be Coors. I want to be underweight on the bats here. The temperature is going to be in the 30s again, which should mean worse hitting conditions than normal. Even in Coors, I think this is a tough spot for bats.

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I’m going to eat plenty of chalk, but I’m going to get different by fading Zack Wheeler and by loading up on the lefties on the Cubs. Wheeler is the best pitcher on the slate, but he has a tough matchup against the A’s. The Cubs aren’t garnering much ownership, even though Brady Singer has really struggled with lefties.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I’ll be underweight on the chalky Mets while loading up on Boston, Minnesota, and Washington. I’ll likely be underweight on Zack Wheeler as well, instead going cheaper with Cole Ragans and Colin Rea as my primary options.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
